Dame J, born ” Damian Alexander Jenkins” grew up in Alexandria,VA with a true love for the art form of Hip-Hop, a passion that he gained from his late father. Living with minimal resources things were fairly tough for him and his family. He turned to Hip-Hop to speak about the problems that he and many others faced on a daily basis as well as an escape for the stresses and struggles that he faced as an individual. That was when he decided he had an important message to deliver to the people so he decided to concentrate on music. Dame J plans on bringing a sound to the world that is a fusion of underground music with a mainstream presence. But at the same time focus on making music that people can enjoy and relate to on a everyday basis.
