12 Jan Post Malone & Swae Lee’s “Sunflower” Is No. 1 On Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart
In the week ending with January 12th, Swae Lee and Post Malone have nabbed the top spot on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts for their collaborative “Sunflower” joint. It now becomes the third No. 1 track on the chart for Post, who previously earned the distinction with his 21 Savage-assisted “Rockstar,” which spent 14 weeks at the top, and the Ty Dolla $ign collab “Psycho.”
For Swae, it marks the first visit to the penthouse as a solo artist. The last time, he was at No. 1 though, was when Rae Sremmurd accomplished the feat with the Gucci Mane-featured smash “Black Beatles,” which went for seven weeks in 2016-17.
“Sunflower” originally pops up on the soundtrack for Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse and also makes major moves on the R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs chart, moving up to No. 2 after experiencing an increase of 12 percent while retaining its No. 1 spot on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales charts for the fifth week in a row.
Elsewhere in the Top 10 of the Hot chart, Post ‘s “Wow” track currently sits at No. 7 after a fruiful run, earning 26 million plays this week. In Swae’s case, its news that contrasts fateful suggestions issued by Slim Jxmmi this weekend as the rapper sparked rumors of the potential break up of Rae Sremmurd.
“I’m not Rae Sremmurd,” he penned in a tweet. “I’m slim jxmmi and ima sink or swim by myself.”
