Prince Johnny C, Sire Juke Boxx and DJ Ready speak on unreleased 1989 Geto Boys album
Prince Johnny C – It was called “Just Made the Jump in the Hype”, but one of the songs was called Grip It!
Sire Juke Boxx – I remember when you took that sample from Star Wars when Darth Vader said They just made the jump in the hyper space and it was dope as a motherf-cker! It was a Hip Hop album and for the time. It was gonna be a great album and we was probally gonna go platinum with that album because we was already building up a buzz and we were touring. We did shows with some of them songs because we were getting a helluva response and I hate that the album didn’t get released.
DJ Ready Red – Must Be The Music was a song that was released on a compilation with Ice Cube and them. Johnny C got everything he is the archivest of the group, we probally got 3 or 4 albums.
