Today marks the 23rd Anniversary of Raekwon’s classic album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx (commonly referred to as The Purple Tape). As a respectful nod to Raekwon, Pusha T delves into how The Purple Tape shaped DAYTONA, his own new album and expands on his own tribute lyrics “This Is My Purple Tape” from track “The Games We Play.”

Filmed at the Stapleton Houses on Staten Island has Pusha T explains, “This is the best rendition [of The Purple Tape] I could’ve tried. The inspiration and feeling was something we were trying to harness.”
