Video Of The Week: BFE’s Slap Connects with Ralo and Lou Kang

Ralo may be on the inside but his music carries on.  Ralo is featured on hot new artist, Slap’s catchy song, “Can’t Go Backwards ft Lou Kang.    Slap is everything St.  Louis needed and never got.  He has a catchy street rhyme and his music is filled with strong lyrical content.  He’s a dope writer especially for someone who just started rapping only a few years ago.  Give it a few weeks and everyone will be talking about the St. Louis native who definitely doesn’t have the St. Louis sound that we are used to.

Slap is part of the music conglomerate Big Future Entertainment more known as BFE and he has a poignant story to share beyond music.  While most people started rapping in school or in their teens, Slap was inspired to rap during a 5 year bid that he was serving in prison.  As Meek Mill is talking about the discrepancies in the criminal justice system, Slap is a prime example of someone who never had a record or even probation being harshly sentenced to a nine year term for something a non black male would get probation for.  “I really went through a lot everything I write about is real.  Being incarcerated taught me a lot and it was actually a blessing in disguise.  It saved me for myself.  I have a lot to share with people and the criminal justice system and how Black males are unfairly punished is something that i’m happy Meek Mill is pushing.  I think everything happens for a reason.  You have to learn, grow and never go backwards.  I hope that Ralo gets a chance to show the world how great he is as well,” said Slap
