(New Exclusive Inrerview) Ciana Pelekai Talks Miusic With Imperial Hustle Magazine

1. What made you want to learn how to sing?

When I was younger, I would always support my older sister at every gig she has performed at around Oahu. Watching her on stage, and listening to the audience enjoying and showing interest in her music, made me feel really excited, and amazed. Sharing her talent, has inspired me to be exactly like her. Wanting to be able to feel special, have that fame, many opportunities, and lastly motivating others through my passion of music. Therefore, I started to take vocal lessons at the age of 6, and from there I just kept moving forward with my singing career, and accomplished many things in my life.

2. What are the pro’s and con’s of being a female singer?

The pros about being a female singer is empowering other women, and the younger generation. Iam happy to be able to inspire them. The cons is the amount of jealousy, and how many under estimate me. I’ve been bullied in the past because of my singing career. I love singing, and I wouldn’t let anyone stop me from reaching my dream.

3. What do you love the most about being a singer?

Being able to share my talent with others, and perform onstage. I have always loved to perform on stage ever since I was little. I loved seeing everyone be so joyful, and being inspired. I love to make others feel comfortable, and enjoy themselves while they watch me perform. It makes me feel so grateful, and honored.

4. What is your process of creating a song and do you speak from personal life lessons?

Creating music takes a lot go hard work, and dedication. I believe for me as a singer I love to create music that not only I can relate or connect to but others in the same age group or generation can relate to as well. So like love, happiness, sadness, being mad, enjoying life, and regretting some things in life.

5. What was your biggest performs and how do you come up with your show set?

I had the opportunity to sing at the Staple Center for the LA Clippers game, and sing at Radio City Music Hall for the quarter finals of Americas Got Talent. How I come up with my show set is the different people that I work with on the side or managers that we have. We talk about how we want the stage to be, the lights to shine, and the singers in the back to wear.

6. Do you cook and if so, what is your favorite meal to make at home?

Yes I do cook, I was in culinary for two years. My favorite meal to cook is spam musubi. Spam musubi is a Hawaiian dish that we eat. Its really delicious, and simple to make at home when you’re on the go.

7. Talk about Bluff and why that song was created?

Bluff is my new single that was just released on Feb. 22, 2019 It was created about a boy of course that a girl liked and he kept bluffing. I believe many girls in a relationship or those who have experienced this can relate a lot about this story being created in the song.Through posting it on social media, many of my collegues enjoyed it and started to repost it and comment on it. It’s available all digital platforms Spotify, Google Play, Pandora, Xbox, SoundCloud, MySpace Music, Last.fm, iHeart Radio, Apple Music, MixCloud, 8tracks, Reddit Music, Tidal, TuneIn, Deezer, iTunes,  Audiomack, YouTube, Bandcamp, Vimeo, Slacker Radio, Bandsintown, Songkick and of course Instagram.
