08 Jan DeMarcus Cousins May Return To Warriors Lineup Next Friday
We’ve been waiting all season to see DeMarcus Cousins in action with the Golden State Warriors. If you thought the team was stacked before, Cousins immediately turns them in the Monstars. He averaged 21.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game throughout his career, which has been sidetracked by injuries. He’s been sidelined since rupturing his Achilles against the Houston Rockets last Winter, but it’s about time that Boogie got back on the court.

Senior NBA Insider for Yahoo Sports Chris Haynes jumped on Twitter Tuesday night (January 8) to announce that Boogie should be back in the starting lineup next Friday. “Golden State center DeMarcus Cousins plans to make his season debut against the Los Angeles Clippers on Jan. 18, a league source tells Yahoo Sports,” Haynes revealed. As of last week, Boogie participated in practice with the squad and is looking healthier than ever. “All I can tell you is [his return] is closer now,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr stated before Tuesday night’s game. “Because the last week his scrimmaging looks much better. It seems to me like he’s gotten through a barrier, conditioning-wise. It’s not easy for anybody coming off an Achilles injury, much less a center who carries a lot of weight and size. But the thing that everybody who has an Achilles comeback talks about is the movement in space and how you have to get comfortable with those movements and that it’s not just a sprained ankle or knee or something where once it’s healed you feel normal. It’s more about growing accustomed to the movement and the pounding.” If Boogie comes back at full power, the Warriors will be unstoppable.
