1. Twill Distilled, how long have you been doing music?
I have been doing music for as long as I can remember. Specifically hip hop and dirty pop I have been doing for about 2 years now. I started young with the peabody preparatory program out of john hopkins when I was a kid.
2. Twill Distilled, what is Nerdcore and what does it mean to you?
To me nerdcore is really getting to express my nerdiness with my artistry through pop or hip hop. It’s a way to take a mainstream sound, with a not so mainstream idea of thinking, but still be able to connect to anyone willing to listen. It’s just a lot of fun honestly, and to me, it  has really opened up my world to a new family of great people who love music and all things nerdy.
3. Twill Distilled, what do you feel you bring different to the Nerdcore music scene?
I feel like I am different because I don’t limit myself to just one genre. On one song I may rap, the next song its an EDM/Pop track, on my upcoming album I even have a track where I mix opera and hiphop. I am not afraid to do more than JUST rapping or JUST singing or JUST chiptunes, I really love to experiment with different sounds and not limiting myself.
4. Twill Distilled, what is the hardest thing in life you had to overcome and how did you overcome it?
I think the hardest thing I have ever had to overcome is something a lot of people can relate to which was being honest to myself. I almost died of type one diabetes when I was 16 and I realized life was too short to live for other people to make them happy. I was then finally able to admit to myself about what I wanted to do with my life and how I was going to live it, regardless of how others felt or thought about that.
5. Twill Distilled, where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In five years i’d really like to be my own boss. Running my music show, on tour, doing my clothing thing. Right now I pretty much do that on a small scale – I work as an art director by day and at night I do my music stuff when I can. So hopefully in 5 years I will just reporting only to myself all day and all night and not giving up half of my time. 🙂
